One was to serve warm drinks during the cocktail hour like hot apple cider, kicked up of course, and “mock-tails” for non drinkers. I think that it is a perfectly acceptable to just serve this to greet your guest in place of a whole extravaganza with Hor’s d ourves and/or a bar.
