I must have looked a 100 “Beach Wedding” sites and the they all include the big debate as to whether it is less expensive than a more traditional setting. Some say yes because less people will attend, some say no because of the travel expenses etc. etc.

My opinion is that unless you live in a beach town or are fabulously wealthy…take a pass. They talk about it being less stress but I wonder what world they live in. With flight delays making connections a nightmare and your coordinators strangers who may not fear accountability, you ever know what your going to get. I hate to be a nay sayer so if you do decide to go ahead with a beach wedding I only want to say that it is no excuse for not including all the details that seperate an ordinary reception from an elegant one. As for saving money,

This was a cute idea I found but it can be done for a fraction of the price. I can’t image what they think is worth so much as your local craft store sells shells and tags and you can skip the box and just fill your table top with sand…it is a beach event isn’t it!?
